Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Spion — our browser extension, website, and related services (together, the "Service"). By installing the extension, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Who we are

Spion ("we", "us", "our") provides the Service. You can reach us anytime at welcome@spion.io.

2. The Service

Spion lets you record a workflow in your browser, analyzes it with AI, and helps you turn it into an automation or a step-by-step guide that you can export to third-party tools. Features, limits, and supported integrations may change as we improve the Service.

3. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Spion. You're responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. Let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Plans, billing, and renewals

• Free plan. Spion offers a free tier with monthly usage limits, available without payment.
• Paid plans. Pro and Ultra are paid subscriptions billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly) at the price shown at checkout.
• Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• Cancellation. You can cancel anytime. You keep paid features until the end of your current billing period, then return to the Free plan.
• Price changes. We may change prices; we'll give notice before a change affects your renewals.

Payments and subscription management are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's terms. Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
• Record or process data you don't have the right to capture.
• Reverse-engineer, resell, or abuse the Service or its rate limits.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.

6. Your content

The recordings and workflows you create are yours. You grant us a limited license to process them only as needed to provide the Service — for example, sending the captured steps for AI analysis to generate your suggested workflow. We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't sell it. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled.

7. Our intellectual property

The Service, including the Spion software, branding, and website, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don't grant you any right to our trademarks or to copy the Service.

8. Third-party services and exports

Spion can export to and integrate with third-party tools such as Claude, Workato, Make, Zapier, and n8n. Your use of those tools is governed by their own terms, and we aren't responsible for them. We also rely on providers such as Anthropic, Supabase, Cloudflare, and Lemon Squeezy to operate.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't guarantee that AI-generated workflows will be error-free or fit for a particular purpose. You're responsible for reviewing any automation before you rely on it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us or others. On termination, the provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will remain in effect.

12. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update the Service or these Terms. If we make material changes to these Terms, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at Spion's principal place of business, and any disputes will be resolved by the courts with jurisdiction there, except where mandatory local consumer-protection laws give you additional rights.
